    measurement accuracy: + -2 ° C / 2%
    measurement resolution: 0.1 ° C / ° F - temperature display with one digit after the decimal point, e.g. 236.6 ° C
    OTHER DATA

optical resolution: 1:12 - at a distance of 12 cm from the device, the surface temperature will be measured from a circle-shaped field with a diameter of 1 cm
emissivity: regulation in the range 0.10-1.00 - factory setting 0.95
    spectral response: 5-14 μm
    measurement speed: 0.5 s
    working in ambient temperature: 0 ° C-40 ° C (14 ° F - 140 ° F)
    FUNCTIONS

displaying the maximum and minimum temperature from a given measurement [MAX], [MIN]
display of the ambient temperature [AT]
high and low temperature alarm [Hi], [Low] - sound signal, displaying HI and LO respectively
alarm for operation in too low or too high ambient temperature - displaying AH and AL, respectively
    emissivity regulation [EMS]
device calibration [CAL] - possibility of making the sensor indications more precise in the range from -5.0 to + 5 ° C
low battery display at voltage below 2.5V [battery symbol]
automatic shutdown of the device after 7 seconds of inactivity

    DEFINITIONS

IR radiation - each object, depending on its current temperature, emits adequate infrared radiation. An IR thermometer uses optics to focus this radiation on an infrared sensor, which first converts it into heat, and then into electricity. The energy value is then read and converted into a temperature indication. The entire process in YATO pyrometers takes no more than 0.5 seconds.

Emissivity - this is a parameter that determines the ability of an object to emit thermal radiation. Most organic, varnished and oxidized materials have an emissivity of 0.95 and this is the parameter that is preset at the factory. However, some materials, such as lead or aluminum, have much lower emissivity, so if there is a need to obtain a measurement that is as close to the real one as possible, you should first set the emissivity parameter to the value appropriate for a given material. Emissivity tables should be found in the scientific literature or on the Internet.

Low and high temperature alarm - this function is useful, for example, in locating thermal bridges on cold days. Measure the temperature in the center of the wall to get a benchmark, then set the low temperature alarm a few degrees lower depending on the outside temperature. The next step is to measure the temperature in places where thermal bridges occur most often, eg wall-to-ceiling joints, around window frames, etc. If the temperature reading drops below the set value in the alarm, then you will hear an acoustic signal and an additional indication on the display.

Measurement accuracy - optics and control electronics in YATO pyrometers ensure high accuracy and repeatability of measurements. However, due to many manufacturer-independent variables, including humidity and ambient temperature in the measurement places, it is impossible to calibrate the device so that its accuracy is 100% in all conditions. The manufacturer declares the possibility of a measurement error of 2%, but not less than + -2 ° C at an ambient temperature of 0 ° C-40 ° C. This means that when setting the correct emissivity, the measurement result of 100 ° C should be interpreted as a value in the range of 102-98 ° C.

    Parameters
    Temperature measurement: -50 to 600 ° C
