The YT-72967 leak detection smoke generator is a diagnostic tool designed to locate leaks in closed vehicle systems. The generated smoke is introduced into the system under pressure, and its escape indicates the location of the leak. This allows the tester to quickly identify issues that might be difficult to detect via visual inspection.
The device can be used to check intake, fuel, exhaust, EVAP, and cooling systems (excluding air conditioning systems), as well as engine seals and specific internal engine spaces and components. It operates on a 12 V power supply and features a built-in air pump, enabling use without the need for an external compressed air source. Applications:
locating leaks in the intake system
inspecting fuel system lines and components
diagnosing EVAP (fuel vapour) systems
checking exhaust system integrity
inspecting cooling systems (excluding air conditioning systems)
detecting engine seal leaks

Operating principle: pour the appropriate amount of smoke fluid into the device, connect the generator to a 12V battery, and attach it to the sealed system being tested using the appropriate adapter. Once activated, the device heats the fluid to produce smoke, which is then pumped into the system under inspection. Smoke escaping from a specific point indicates the location of the leak, facilitating quick diagnosis and repair.
